About Dr Garrick Xanthis
I am an experienced General Practitioner, working at Kingsway Medical in Madeley W.A. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I consult and am proficient in all aspects of Family Medicine.
Education
Medical School - University of Western Australia, graduating in 1979.
I completed over two years of residency at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth.
This was followed by three years at Southend and Rochford General Hospitals UK, where I trained in Paediatrics, General Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecolgy and Anaesthetetics. I was awarded Diplomas in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Anaesthetics, having successfuly completed the required examinations.
I have been in fulltime General Family Practice since returning to Perth in 1983.
Fees
I bulk bill (no out of pocket expense) all of my regular:

DVA Gold card holders;

Children under 16 years of age;

Centrelink Pension & Concession card holders.
An $95 charge applies to all other patients for a standard consultation before rebate.
The current Medicare rebate for a standard consultation is $43.90

MON, TUES, THURS, FRI
10am - 5pm
I am also available for telephone consultations . Due to Medicare regulation changes, as of 2/10/23, bulk billing for phone consultations will only be available to Concession card holders who provide written or SMS consent prior to their consultation.
All other telephone consultations are charged at the usual private fee amount.
